How IOT is making the world a better and smarter place to live

Whether a business man is selling food or even maintaining a server, temperature in these regards is of utmost importance. One must ensure the optimal temperature in storing food by the use of coolers and freezers or for just having a comfortable room with air conditioning in it. The Internet of Things is creating devices that can-do room temperature monitoring via internet. The various benefits of this technology are as follows:

  • Receive alerts if the temperature is different from normal range.
  • Remote monitoring can help in achieving regulatory compliance.
  • Provide early warning signs helping to prevent down time or equipment failure.
  • Monitors the asset 24/7 through internet.

Sensors which are wireless

Products like the wireless light sensors feature two different apertures, for the measurement of ambient light and one for the measurement of directional light. The ambient sensor is going to monitor the UV index and illuminance while the directional or the spot aperture is going to measure the light level and color intensity. The wireless light sensor of IOT has an additional feature and that is to detect the changes in the ambient light in every 7 seconds and sending out sensors if the change is above 10%. In order to minimize the power consumption, the sensor will go to sleep when it is not checking the changes in ambient light.

IOT on agriculture

Agriculture is one thing that is done in every country since ages. The cultivation of plants is also the science and art of agriculture. However, these days, the Internet of things IOT plays a very important role in doing smart agriculture. The IOT sensors can be used for gathering information and data about the fields of agriculture. All processes of gathering agricultural data and deploying them is done with wireless automation. IOT based smart agriculture is powered by Arduino, consisting of a temperature sensor, moisture sensor, water level and many more. There is also a system of closing the water levels forcefully done by the IOT on agriculture.
